Kaif was scheduled to start the De-Danaa-Dan prmotions (where she is starring oppoite Akshay Kumar)but she suddenly started complaining of sickness and weakness. When she couldn’t manage to get off her bed, a doctor was consulted. She has been diagnosed with jaundice.

Ravaana has finished shooting and the whole Maani Ratnam team is coming back to Mumbai. Despite harsh weather, and bad health and living conditions, Ratnam has managed to wrap up almost every outdoor shooting and now the team can breathe a bit.
Ravaana has a delightfully funny plot reminiscing that of the epic. We find our protagonists in the contemporary world where the mighty Abhishek Bachchan’s sister gets publicly humiliated by the Laxman of the present world, that is, a character played by South star Vikram. An angry Abhishek marches into Vikram’s household and kidnaps our queen Aishwarya.
The twist is, Sita maiyaa, a.k.a. Aishwarya, here ends up falling in love with the jungle king Abhishek (since he takes her to a jungle) and rest of the story echoes chase the bushes etc.

If reports are to be believed, the very controversial Indian Summer, based on the love story between Jawaharlal Nehru and Edwina Mountbatten, has been scrapped owing to strong opposition from the UPA backed government. “We were in between a rock and a hard place. The Indian government wanted us to make less of the love story while the studio wanted us to make more of the love story,” Director Joe Wright of Pride and Prejudice fame told Variety Magazine.
The director accused the government of its partiality to the Gandhi parivaar over the controversy regarding the basic plot of the story that was based on the love story as protrayed by Alex von Tunzelmann in his novel Indian Summer between Nehru and Edwina during the last few years of British rule in India.

“I have a substantial role that lasts for 30-40 minutes in the film,” claimed Shahid at a press meet today to talk about the upcoming movie Paathshala, a take on the contemporary Indian social value system, that was slated for release by January 2009. Shahid told the media that he did not play any quintessential role in the movie which is “small” in comparison to his already released big hits of Kaminey and Hadippa in the last six months. Shahid plays a teacher in the flick.
The delay in Paathshala’s release, Shahid said, owed responsibility to its moving from Big Pictures to Eros “and they would be making plans to line up the film in a proper manner. However, I am sure they would have the right campaign in place for the film’s release. The film has to be protected and released when there is no other film of mine coming up.”
