Maoists Targeted School in Bihar

Bihar. Barely two weeks after the Red Operation was initiated by the Centre’s Special Forces in collaboration with the State Police in states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, the agitation has soared in the part of the Maoist guerillas to such an extent that the rebels today blew up a primary school of Gerua village in Banka with dynamite . The school runs on Government aid. The district falls under Belhar jurisdiction and the Teliya-Kumri panchayat is responsible for its activities.

Although no was was hurt, reports say the buiilding has been badly damaged.

An encounter, reportedly, also took place between police officials  and around 300 Maoists in a forest under Barachatti police station in Gaya out of which the sleuths managed to hurl down only 10 and could arrest 3 more.
