While Ashok Chavan has taken the oath as Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal is from NCP under the watchful eyes of Maharashtra Governor S.C. Jamir.

The government shall include 12 Congree Cabinet ministers and 15  NCP ministers. 16 days after the power battle between Congress and NCP, the Maharashtra government has been formed.
